MADFISH RE-RELEASE CLASSIC 1970 FAMILY ALBUM WITH BONUS TRACKS
Growing out of the R&B boom of the early 60s, Family's sound evolved into a unique mix of blues, folk, jazz, psychedelia and high energy rocknroll built around the distinctive vocals of frontman Roger Chapman, Charlie Whitney's innovative guitar playing and Rob Townsend's thunderous drumming.
'A Song For Me' was released at the start of 1970 and the first album with the band's revised line-up with John Weider * Ric Grech on bass and Poli Palmer * Jim King. The album features the classic Family tracks 'Drowned In Wine', 'The Cat & The Rat' and the title track, the album reached #4 in the UK charts when it was released.
This reissue come packaged as a media book with a 16 page colour booklet and features 2 bonus tracks.
Family are playing select festivals during summer 2016 and have final shows confirmed at Londons O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in December 2016.
